50 Hour Service Not Needed?

Let me tell you why he said this. Yes, you all are correct that the 50 hr serv. is the most important one you'll do. That being said, the hour meter on your 3130 is based on total hours with the key on, rather than based on total tach hours(Hours at full RPM). The 3130's will show more hours than say a 3010 under normal use for the same amount of time. It won't hurt to do the 50 hr at 50hrs, but it won't hurt to wait till 100 either. Your dealer shoud have explained his reasoning, but it sounds like he's trying to save you a dime!

On our new M5700 and the bx1500, The dealer said to do the 50 hr service at 60-70 hrs. I was not sure why but thanks to this thread, I think I know why now. Thanks for the info
