50 Hr Service on 2017 Kubota RTV-X1100C

My 50 hour service is still 40.3 hours away. Because I always do all maintenance, on all of my vehicles/equipment, I appreciate the heads up on what to expect. Had no idea about a dip stick under the seat, thanks for relaying that info.

Not having been under mine yet, I'm wondering.....Do any of you think there's a way the skid plates could be modified to allow easier access to necessary points?

I wouldn't panic over the skid plate, (you only remove one , and with a compressor ratchet and line up of a few holes , it goes back up easy)... yes it is a little messy because you are working beside the other skid plate and oil drips off it a bit .........but the plates are pretty thick and robust and the confidence of having them underneath out weighs for me the temptation to cut a hole in them , and it is nice to see everything under there every once and awhile anyway I imagine.

We have two RTVs and have changed the oil in them both a half dozen times. Not complicated but probably the hardest thing to service we own and that is about 20 things. The skid plates come off and on easy when new but after they get beat up it isn’t so easy. We had to replace the skid plates on one of the RTVs because it was bent up enough that it was a pain to remove and put back. We also have broke a couple of the welded on nuts that the skid plate bolts go into and had to weld more on. It is a pretty poor design. The things work though and are reliable so I guess I will tolerate some extra hassle at maintenance time
