KUBOTA 7500 HSD
Just a quick questions for the experts on the board. I just finished the 50 hr. service on my b7500. What a freaking mess. Am I the only one with filters that were twisted on at the factory by godzilla with an impact wrench. My filter wrench actually twisted the metal on the hst filter enough that it tore and hydraulic fluid went everywhere. I finally had to break out a gigantic pair of channel locks and proceed to absolutely destroy the filter getting it off. I assure you guys that I have changed a many filter in my life and have never seen one this tight. OK for the question... Should I worry about the hydraulic fluid being a little over the high mark? The fluid is about 1/8- 3/16" of an inch above the high mark. I can't imagine that it would matter. But , hopefully you guys can provide some insight.

After you drive the tractor for a couple of hours you will probably see the level go down where it is supposed to be. My 3010 HST filter was also hard to get off. When I put the filter wrench on the old filter for removal, the can of the filter turned but not the base where it attached. I too used a spanner wrench at the base to remove. Luckily I did not puncture the old filter when removing.

Seems to be that way on every new Kubota....don't know why. Dont know if it is the paint, or if it is indeed Godzilla screwin' them on. I sometimes have to destroy the filters to get them off. After the initial change though, you won't have any more problems if your turnin' it on 3/4 to 1 as it should be.
