50 hr service

Ok I've read so much on the 50 service on here I'm confused. My manual says only to change the hydraulic filter not the oil, but it seems some guys change both. I'm thinking i won't just do as the manual says because it looks like a PITA and expensive to do. Just want to see what the consensus was with dk owners.

I don't own a Kioti so I can't give you a definite answer, but I'd call the Kioti dealer and ask what they recommend.

I do believe you should change your engine oil and filter and do the same with the hydraulic oil and filters. I see from your profile you have a DK40se, if you are not sure perhaps do as MartianTractorMan suggests, contact your dealer.

I was going to change engine oil and filter, hydraulic filter only, perhaps air filter and maybe front axle

Yup you read it right it is only required to change the Hyd filter, engine oil filter and oil.

I was given the same information by Terry Coley and Tom Martell last September during their visit. The 50 hours fluids change is required to insure warranty coverage. Considering the possible future warranty repairs you æ�œay need I recommend completing the schedule maintenance to the letter so there is no debate in the future. å¾¹ff the record two different Kioti engineers stated they have used NAPA and Tractor Supply Universal Hydraulic in their new tractors. It available locally to the NC factory.

And please let's not shoot the messenger here- I have given the information I was given from Kioti and said I would follow- up for further clarification today; which I did, and I have now posted those results.

"Per our conversation 3/9/2011 concerning the transmission fluid change interval on your DK40SE, KIOTI strongly recommends that the transmission fluid be changed at 50 hours. This, along with the hydraulic filter change, is to flush out any break in material that may have contaminated the fluid. I hope this answers your questions and enjoy your KIOTI tractor."

Hmm, my DK manual definitely says Trans fluid: change, which I did. Owner's Manual Part # DH14-001. Bought machine new in Spring of 2010. Could the factory recommendation have changed? I know it was a ***** draining, refilling, and carrying used fluid to recycling.

Here's what I'd do: and what I did with my DK-40se/hst at 50 hours. Do the engine oil and filter, do both hydraulic filters and fuel filter. BEWARE! first time filters on most of these machines are a BEAR to remove, so be prepared with a two handle clamp type filter wrench or it could take you all day! I'm NOT kidding. I went to synthetic oil at the 50 hr svc. You need to choose to use whatever works best for you. I'd recommend a high quality synthetic, and stick with synthetic after going to it. Amsoil diesel oil, Mobil 1diesel oil, etc.
Have some hydraulic UTF fluid to replace what gets lost when changing the filters. TSC sells generic UTF which will be fine. That's what I use. And my dealer says he NEVER changes the transmission fluid completely UNLESS the customer requests it OR it has contamination from water or whatever. I probably will change it out at 400hr svc. depending on what the fluid looks like.
Change the fuel filter- it's cheap insurance and NOTHING is more important than delivering clean fuel to the injectors.
Also grease every zerk on the entire machine- there are a ton of them. Use a good quality synthetic- NOT some cheap moly that will harden into cement.
