500 series

Anyone have any time on a 500 series garden tractor more exactly the X520 or X540...just sold my X320 and am looking at an upgrade...local dealer has last year's leftovers for 1200$ off sticker...just want anyones opinions on them..thanks!

I had an x540 for about a month last year and upgraded to the 2305. it's a beast of a mower, but I needed/wanted 3 pt hitch capability. get the HDAP tires for sure.

Started with an X300 about 1 1/2 years ago.
Traded this past spring for an X540.
Just traded the X540 for a 2305.
I needed (wanted) more.
The X540 is one heck of a machine and will do most anything that
you ask of it. I just needed the 3ph and possibly add the FEL later.
I could go back to the X540 in a heartbeat, but right now, I need more
machine.

They are ok but still just a garden tractor ,
A sub cut is a great step up .

I got the fel this spring and I can honestly say it was stupid of me not to get it when I got the 2305....lesson learned!

If you can go for the 2305 (used 2210, 2305, to keep the cost down), as it will provide you with more use options.

I just replaced by LX178 with the X540 in early August, and unlike the others here I don't have a requirement for the 2305 etc., just a hefty lawn tractor. It's an excellent machine, fast, quiet, and nearly impossible to "bog down" in heavy grass. I have the mulch kit for spring/summer and the 3-bag MCS (14 bushel power flow) for fall.

I bought the 534 AWS (I know its not a 520/540) earlier this year and so far its been great!

Thinking about adding the 3-Bag 14 bushel Power Flow set-up to my 534. Just curious how well it works? Any problems with plugging up? Did you add front weight?

The bagger system was flawless, never plugged it up once using it mainly for leaf collection. And I must admit, not always dry leaves! I had the 2 bag system on my old LX series, which had no blower system, just a chute and the 2 bags. It was terrible, so this system with the blower is a very nice upgrade. I did not add any weight up front on the X540.
