emcvay,

Is your dealer in Benton City?

idaho2

Yes -- Buck was my dealer. Pretty nice guy if I don't say so myself.

Well I'm past the 50hr mark and planning to change the oil and filter next trip to the property :) and I'm LOVING my tractor!

I've found all sorts of uses for the tractor! Getting firewood is just one of them :) It's great for it!

My neighbors grandkids inherited 50 acres plus some farm equipment. Most of the equipment was broken and pretty much scrap so they cut it all up and shipped it off for cash -- except that I noticed they had an old set of disks and when I asked what they were worth they told me $50 of scrap. So I offered to test them out and if they worked I'd give them the $50.

Best $50 I've ever spent I think!!!

Here's a closer shot of me disking a field for Cereal Rye.

I also put the box blade to work and seriously cleaned up the driveway to the property!

Furthermore, I've learned to sit my rear on the seat and keep it there *snicker* and wear the seatbelt (I find it's much better doing so most of the time) and have taught my son to drive and operate the tractor.

Can't wait to get back and finish this field for Rye!

I have to admit that I am absolutely loving my Mahindra and couldn't imagine having a smaller tractor!

Hmmm.....went to change the oil and didn't realize I'd need such a darn long funnel to do so, didn't bring along a filter wrench and didn't want to use the old screw driver trick so left the old one in place for the next trip out when I'll change the oil and filter (again for the oil).

Besides, I couldn't find light enough oil for my winter temps so I'll have to look harder anyway.

Hated the location of the drain plugs also -- stupid holes don't line up with the plugs so the oil drains all over the blooming place -- nice! I suspect the plate was installed wrong way around??

After failing there I cleaned off the screen in front of the radiator and made some mental notes for the future -- like add a funnel and filter wrench to the tools.

Otherwise, I enjoyed using it as usual and managed to get some more work done with it. I'm now nearing 60 hours on the tractor :)
