Looking to buy a new or newer tractor. Looked at several different brands and I always end up liking what Mahindra offers. Looked at the 4530, 5035, and 6530. the 6530 is not available in tier 3 around here any longer and it may be too big for what I am looking for. I really like the way the 5035 feels. does anyone have any experience with the 5035?

It will be used on a small farm for hay cutting and bailing and chores around the farm. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

The closest dealer is only 10 miles away. He has the 5035 PST on his lot at the current time. I would just prefer the shuttle shift.

Good luck in your hunt! I have a 5035, only had it a couple of months and have not used it as much as I would like. Travel and family has kept me away alot. I have developed a couple of small leaks already, just a drop or two each time I use it. I have a rubber mat under mine and I notice a drop or two each time. I have developed a hesitation in the curl down of the bucket when close to idle. I have not had a chance yet to speak to the dealer about it. Another poster on here is having the same issue. Other than that, the tractor is a beast! I stuck a 70 hp tractor with a cab, I should say I buried it! The 5035 pulled it out and didn't even spin a tire. The tractor that was stuck weighed 9000lbs!
I only have 19 hours on mine so not alot of experience. If it hold up and I don't have alot of problems I think I am going to like it.

I have a 2011 5035 HST. Only leak I have ever had was a drop on a banjo fitting on the loader control valve assy. Put a wrench on it right after the dealer dropped it off and took care of that. Only mechanical problem I have had, if you can call it a problem, is that I had to tighten the fan/alternator belt at about 100 hours when drawing a heavy lighting load playing out in the snow. Used it yesterday to do a final lift and paint of the bottom of my 500 gallon propane tank. No fuel line problems/hose cracks/etc.

I am in the process of buying one as we speak. Would like to know what price they are shooting you. There are not too many to be had. My dealer is going to have to go out of state to get one for me.

My 2010 5035 shuttle rocks! Would buy it again in a heartbeat. Just under 300 hours so far on it.
The dealer I bought from, Lott Enterprises in Claxton, GA is excellent as well.

I have a 2012 PST. Only issues I have had are a bad fitting on the steering hydraulic line, frayed wire on the PTO lighted switch, loose bolts on the front end and a leaky diesel fuel line. The first happened within hours of getting it home and the dealer fixed in the field, the second I diagnosed and fixed with help from this site and some electrical tape. The last two items, I suspect, were a result of my working over an extremely rough patch of wild hog damage. I have over 200 hours on my tractor and love it. My dad has the Tym made Mahindra 6010 cab...I have a WAY better tractor. This 5035 is a beast.
