5045 E Is this a good tractor.

Thinking about trading in my Mahindra for a JD 5045e Can anyone give me a review on this tractor?

I have a 2013 5045D, bought used with 175 hours.

Now about 250 hours and am sure it is not even broken in yet.

Seems to have plenty of horsepower for my 60 inch finish mower.

Not one problem, and starts the same in cold weather or hot.

Does not seem to be a fuel hog, but engine seems very loud compared to an old gas Massey Ferguson that I still have.

I am a novice tractor owner and just want it to start and run every time and it does.

I consider it to have been a good buy at $13,500.00 used.

I am just wondering why you would go down 20HP,, most want to go up?

I have the 2016 model with less that 50 hrs on it, so it's too early to say if it's a good tractor, but I haven't had any significant problems yet and it is a strong heavy machine that's done everything I've asked it with ease. The only thing I don't like is the cup holder.
I spent a long time researching various tractors before I bought this one and had an old Ford before this one, and of all the tractors I considered, this one came out on top. So far, really happy with it. If you have any more specific questions about the tractor, ask away
