John Deere 5045D
Problem: Will not turn over (start). No click, but cluster lights and all other lights come on. Also blowing the 10a "start relay" fuse every time I try to start it.

Battery good. I can jump the starter and make it turn over but something is keeping it from starting. Checked pto- not engaged, all gears neutral. I'm thinking something in switch? Any ideas I can try?

Thanks , jed

I'm at 275 hours on my 2013 5045D with no problems.

Hope I'm not on borrowed time.

Unplug the thermistor, replace fuse & see if it starts.

The sensor you unplugged is the cold start sensor. It's designed to alter inj pump timing in cold weather for easier starting. Other than engine running rough at initial start up probably nothing else will be affected.
