5065e instrument panel fogs up

The instrument panel on my Kubota M6040( 2009 ) has never fogged. I routinely hose it down with garden hose & nozzle while hosing the rest of the tractor. Must be adequately sealed.

However - I have quit doing the same to my brand new JD X570 riding mower. The panel fogged and only cleared after mowing for a couple hours.

I guess it would be best, in my case, to quit hosing down any instrument panel. It just as easy to wipe the panels with a slightly damp shop rag.

Both my tractor & riding mower are under cover when not in use.

Our humidity varies wildly here. Some mornings it will be 6% to 10%. This morning its 54%.

Our outside temp is 50F @ 5:20 am and is headed to 100F late this afternoon.

Varies wildly? ;-) I know you're on the "dry side", but that gave me a big smile.

I知 starting to believe the instrument panels are not sealed and replacing it again won稚 help. My main concern is that after a few years other instrument failures will occur from moisture like my tachometer did. If Deere Ian willing to replace my 3 month old panel now I wonder if they will just give me a new panel without returning 電efective one? Normally they want old part back to figure out how to improve on manufacturing but if it was never intended to be sealed, and they don稚 have to pay labor to install I would rather have new part for later after an instrument failure. If there are no unsealed penetrations on the back of my panel like the installation tech said, a new one won稚 perform any different. Which means it may just be a matter of time until instruments fail due to moisture but if that time is longer than warranty period that may make best business sense. According to Regional Service Mgr this is a 田ustomer satisfaction issue? I値l ask him about new part option without install.
