I have a new to me 2009 5065M cab tractor MFWD with about 1100 hours on it. After running it for about an hour, the exclamation point warning light comes on and the symbol on the instrument panel that looks like a chemistry flask lights up. The engine speed then won't exceed 1500 rpm.
According to the operators manual the 'chemistry flask' indicates an engine fault and the operator should review the error codes. However, no error codes are displayed as far as I can tell - at least not on the dash readout which displays hours, mph, etc. Is there another way to retrieve the codes?
The oil and coolant levels are fine and I don't see any leaks anywhere on the machine. I am thinking that moisture and sediment needs to be drained from the fuel filter and fuel tank (the 5065M does not have a glass bowl). Could this trigger the warning lights and limit the engine speed? I've been using the tractor lately to move mulch and brush piles around so it has been exposed to dust, etc.
Anyone experienced anything similar? Grateful for any replies.
thanks
