Did my 1st oil change with all Kubota stuff...went real nice. I only wanted to mention that since I own a Cummins diesel p.u. too, I'm in the habit of wetting my oil filters first. Well, I chose to do it with the Kubota. Put in 1/2 L of oil, (measure 3.1L's first), and then snugged it up...no mess at all if anyone is thinking about trying it. Now on to the Hydro strainer and filter next.
Thanks to all on this site who post the great info about their experiences and tractors. I've learned a great deal about my machine by reading the many posts. :thumbsup:

The 50 hour service really isn't bad to do, i'm not sure what is involved with cleaning the hydro strainer but the rest is straightforward.

A number 5 rubber stopper is very handy for cleaning the strainer. Well.... Actually for plugging the hole while you clean the strainer unless you are planning on changing all the hydro fluid too. I lost about 2-3 liters between changing the filter and cleaning the strainer. The manual did not call for a complete hydro oil change and the service dept at my dealer said not to bother so I didn't.
