I started this thread: http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/john-deere-owning-operating/132150-5103-2wd-clutch-new-post.html regarding the clutch on my 5103. It seems you have to physically pull up on the clutch for it to dis-engage.

Is the adjustment the rod with threads that attaches to the lever that goes into the transmission housing and opposite that goes up into the dash panel? If so, how does one adjust that? I tried removing the keeper clip and pin near the transmission, but the pin would not come out willingly. I wasn't sure if that was where it was adjusted or not.

Does anyone know?

I've got a 5103 and love it but I've not had to do any adjustments yet. Shoot I haven't even gone through half my warranty. Although now that you mention it I do have a squeeking clutch pedal.

As an update, I was able to get the pin out and adjust the rod. I had to hold pressure on the arm near the pin and push the clutch in to relieve the pressure on the pin. Once I did that I was able to get it out.

Adjusted it and all was well after that. It makes a big difference and the clutch doesn't seem to slip one bit.
