5203 transmission hard to shift

recently, the transmission on my 5203 has become very hard to shift. the ranges shift easily, but the gear selection is becoming harder and harder to shift. anyone have an idea of what the problem might be? i have a year left of warranty so hopefulley this will be covered. the transmission shifted fine until recently. all of a sudden it takes some gritting of teeth to get it into gear or shuttle shift if. putting it in park is almost impossible. anyone else had this problem?

is there enough trans fluid in it
thats all i can think of hopefully someone that knows alot about transmissions will come along and help solve your problem good luck

Might be you need the clutch adjusted or the throw out bearing is giving you problems.

i surely hope not with only 38 hours on it!

the gears dont grind, its more like the gear shift lever is REALLY stiff when going from gear to gear. like theres alot of pressure on it or something. it used to be you could put it in neutral and wiggle it around effortlessley. you cant do that now. does that make sense? i checked the fluid and thats fine.

You know if it is still in warranty and only has 38 hours on it>>>take it to the dealer and let him figure it out.

yeah that's what i'm going to end up doing. i went by there today but all the people i needed to see were on their lunch break. seems like theyre always on that everytime i go in there?haha they'll have to come pick it up since i don't have a large enough trailer and the tractor weighs about 6,500 lbs

adjust your clutch, my 5103 did the same thing and i referred to the manual on clutch adjustment instructions. it is very easy and solved the problem.
