tractor!! they want the dealer to take the Transmission of the tractor and ship it back to them and they will rebuild it again with the faulty part that they are aware of!!!!! they don't think much of there customers when they just give you back what you know there is a problem with, anyone want to buy a Cub with a rebuilt tranny?? the Orange or Green machines are looking very good, I should have bought one of them in the first place. Thank you all again and sorry for ranting. I will never buy anythink from CUB CADET again or recommend one.
MTD rebuilt the tranny in my first 5234D and it still failed. They told me it was rebuilt by their best tech using new and improved parts...
Make sure you document everything that has happened, who you have talked to and what actions they have taken. Demand that your dealer put you in touch with Cub/MTD or you will talk to your state's consumer protection advocate if you have one and/or the Office of The State's Attorney General. I didn't have to go that far but I would mention that to your dealer.
Interesting that when I was ranting about my major problems with my 5234D tractors I was accused by some posters of abusing the equipment or some said that I was just unlucky or my problems were just isolated incidents. Two trannys, broken front axle, bad engine, improperly installed thus broken fender pan...sure they were just unlucky and isolated incidents
No amount of "spin" can polish these turds.
John Carson, either make them give you a new Yanmar/Cub subcut (reskinned JD2305/2210) or a check for everyting you have spent on your turd then go buy yourself a green, orange or blue machine.
