I recently upgraded to a 2008 JD 5303 MFWD. When running JD MX6 cutter I kept hearing a noise like an alarm going off. With the engine running at top speed I couldn't make out where it was coming from. There was no noticeable change in anything, just the noise. I noticed it was happening typically when I would engage the brakes and/or clutch. I narrowed it down to being the seat/PTO sensor causing the alarm. I throttled the engine down with PTO engaged and could stand up and make the alarm go off. Since this sensor appears to be a little sensitive and doesn't appear to cause the PTO to disengage, I am interested in bypassing it. My previous tractor had it bypassed from previous owner. I fully realize the dangers of a PTO running while being out of the seat. I have not had a chance to look it over lately, but is anyone familiar with a simple procedure for this?
