54” MMM VS. 60”

I used a 54" MMM (RC54B) on a B1750 and it worked great. The guide wheels followed the berms in my yard beautifully. Mowed the best of all my mowers - Cub Cadet, Excel. Sold the tractor and still have the mower and brackets (for sale).

I would have gone with the 60" except for the trailer width issue. The 54" deck is also heavy duty and has been a good mower for many years.

I passed on the tractor and will keep my BX for a few more years. Messicks has a good video on the BX decks. The 60” seems to be the best option for BX decks today, although they both are really stout. For the B2601 I was considering, the 54” would have been a blunder for me. Trimming inside radius’ with the 54” would have been a problem. I’m looking to eliminate work and hand trimming.

Then the 60” is really the only way to go.
