While mowing yesterday ,everything working fine. Had mower set to cut at 3 1/2 " I was mowing close to a concrete pad and hit the corner of pad with mower. Made a lap and noticed a lot more grass was coming out of mower . Also noticed mower cutting a lot closer to the ground. Used hyd lift mower going up and down OK but just would not stay at set mower height. To finish the yard set gauge wheels to mow at height of yard .
After getting home , removed mmm to see what what was wrong.. Noticed the straight shaft that holds adjustment knob on floorboard and cam would not go back in place.
Removed both bolts that hold bracket (item 7 )to frame to see what was wrong.
The top part of bracket that cam fits in was bent up at least a 3/4-1" . Also noticed that the weld holding the upper part of bracket to the lower part was only welded on one end. While I had bracket out ,bent the part back down in place and rewelded. Thankfully had a few extra bushings from the other tractors I had put everything back together. Seems OK just wondering how the bracket got bent .
