Thanks for the reply, but that doesn't sound like what I see on this tractor. There are two harness connectors, one six pin and one ten pin. I just installed what was sold as the correct replacement cluster(RE232258) which came with three receptacles. Two that matched the original, and one more, probably twelve or fourteen pin for which there is no harness to attach. It came with a dummy plug of sorts with instructions to install it in the third port for tractors without a matching harness connector. According to the instruction booklet this should fit a number of 5100, 5200, 5400 and 5500 tractors(including the 5410). All the other warning lights and gauges now seem to be working. "Flashing" the sender wire to ground has no effect on the gauge at this point, so I need to confirm continuity between the sender and the cluster. Access to sender is limited right now with seat back being right up against it, with slides and mounting bolts all rusted solid.
