Hi,
Just a quick general question. I just bought a 55 Gallon drum that is basically brand new, but it once contained John Deere HyGuard hydraulic oil. I have drained the last bit out, but there is still a light coating on the walls of the drum. Possibly less than 5 ounces. I was wondering if anyone knows if this will be an issue if I mix this with 55 gallons of gasoline. I need to store the fuel to use at our farm, and it will be used over the summer with a vent in the drum. I can was the drum out with my pressure washer, but then I will need it to completely dry, and I would just assume fill the barrel now, then have to wait a week. Any thoughts on if this very small amount of hydraulic fuel will effect the fuel, or the engines I will be putting it in? Thanks for the help!
