5500 power steering leaking

Hello, does anyone have any knowledge of the steering pump? My pump, which I think is at the bottom of steering wheel shaft? correct me if wrong? This is leaking and seeping.It has 3 bolts and the throttle rests on top of it.No leakage above but below bolts is wet always. Tightened and checked,no difference. anyone know the internals of this part? I don't want to mess up something expensive? Might be something as simple as an internal gasket or O ring? I just need some idea what I am tearing into? Thanks!---------used a mirror to check back for cracks,etc, looks ok,lines are ok also.

This is a second hand tractor and might be missing seal or gasket? You never know?

The "pump" for the steering is a tandum unit behind the hydraulic pump...should be on the right side of the engine near the front. The stuff at the bottom of the steering column is where the hydrostatic steering system hyd fluid is directed to the power steering cylinder. You may need to order a parts/service manual for your 5500. What year is it?? BobG in VA
