5525 Failed Steering Line

I lost a line this weekend. The one for turning left. It chafed thru on the frame. It looks like it was installed wrong. Everybody might want to check their lines. It happened where the axle pivots on the frame.

Did you ever get a recall notice on the steering for your tractor? I got one on my 5425. Still need to get that taken care of too.

Can't remember off the top of my head. Just remember it had to do something with the steering hydraulics.

I asked my dealer. That recall is about a cylinder. Some 5x25s have the same as on the 5603. They are recalling them for some reason. My 5525 was not included in the recall.

Just got a call from my dealer. The part is in and they'll send someone to install it next week.

it's a mandatory safety pip kit. there is a miniscule chance corrosion is in your steering cylinder from the factory causing the cylinder to fail and lose steering capability.

dealer should install a new steering cylinder if your machine falls in the serial number range
