I finally got my hay moved out of the field. Two rows of hay there.

I know how you guys like pictures. :)

Do you use the 4520 to feed with or move big bales in the field?

Sure, just depends on what equipment is where and how it is configured.

The 4520 had the pallet forks on the front and a trailer move on the back. My Brother was helping me move hay and we needed to load some steel on his trailer when he left. The 5525 was ready to go with a hay spear on the front and rear.

The 4520 actually moves bales very well. In some ways I prefer the 4520. The e-hydro transmission seems to be easier on the machine than hitting the power reverser on the 5525. I moved and loaded 60 bales with the 4520 not long ago.

One thing that is much better on the 5525 are the lights. I rowed up all that hay last night. I got done at 10:50PM or so. The lights on the 4520 aren't good enough to do that at night. I have 2 work lights per corner post on the 5525.

Also - the 4520 moves and feeds bales just fine as long as it is not muddy. It hasn't gotten stuck, but I sure don't want to clean it. R4sw in the stuff we have with an extra couple 1000#s - not good.

Good to hear, D. Thx. Mud and R4's... and cleaning up! Got a chuckle, there. Just washed the 110 the other day after spreading fertilizer - mud all the way to the hubs.

Couldn't have or wouldn't have been out in the field cleaning up trees and loading them to haul to a burn pit without chains on!

If I had to do it over - the 4520 would have R1s.

D,
With the vertical exhaust facing out front do you get a lot of fumes blowing towards you?

Thanks,
Rob
