I am going to drain it clean it and refill. Guy I purchased from said it set alot . I will find an algea treatment or wheni have time just remove it and bleach it. I find it hard to believe it is a timing issue since ran fine for an hour and doesnt correct itself if I shut off and restart like others have. One thing I have noticed if I bog it down I get zero black smoke and it should atleast give a haze when it is trying to overfuel to compensate. I am new to mahindra but was a diesel mechanic in the navy and worked at volvo as a mechanic for a few years after that. I know it is something simple just a pain in the *** when I work 72 hours a week and get a couple days off and cant get anything done. Has anyone removed the screen? I do not see perpose for it with a duel filter setup.

Some had screens some didn't.. the ones that didn't would clog up at the exit hole either way after time. your right it would blow black if it was over fueling and white if its starving.. its just not uncommon for both to need to be done.. I would definitely do the fuel system first before messing with the pump. I took it as you already had done that. Good luck youll get it worked out its a simple fix

is that one of the models that had fuel line collapsing issues and Mahindra developed a new fuel line for it?

Not sure I think it has a beaided line from tank to hard line which runs to filter. Headed down to mess with it now.

There are threads on he that describe the faulty line. I think the braided one is the one that was bad.

Hopefully someone else can find it or chime in, perhaps Dave's Tractor.

Ok update. Got crap in tank. Filter was plugged up. Drained it, removed filter, put more fuel in it and shut off valve plugged up. Drained again, cleaned filter cause shut off valve was a pain to unplug. Put filter back in and see what happens tomorrow. Once it happens again I will haul it home remove tank and clean it out. I am also going to put a different shut off valve with bigger port so crud can make it to the filter and let the filter do its job. I feel the passages are too small so it plugs before crap can get to the actual fuel filter. When it was cleaned out tractor ran like a top and even puffed out black smoke when under heavy load bogging it down. Definitely a poor design by mahindra.

Good you got it figured out... its going to clog even bigger ports after time passes... I liked it when there wasn't a screen.. it was easier to clean..

I think thwy ahould have designed it so u dont have to drain tank to clean screen. That screen is tiny and it takes very little blockage to start starving for fuel. Almost like the max flow through the line is already at its limit. Tractor has been running pretty good after draining it 3 times. Lots of junk in tank and the suction bung sticks up inside tank about 1/4" so u cant get everything out. Once all the chores are done this fall I am taking tank of cleaning the heck out of it and addressing the restrictive shut off valve. Thanks for input. With out this forum I would have had alot more time troubleshooting to find that screen in the tank

You don't have to drain it.. just find a bolt with the same threads and plug it while your cleaning the screen..
