2013 Bobcat Toolcat 5610
I recently purchased a 2013 Toolcat 5610 (G Series). Thanks for everyone sharing information and experiences on here, it was all really helpful in making purchasing decisions. I know the 5610 is pretty rare (I had my choice of 2 used ones in the whole country), so I haven't been able to find much information on the rear remote hydraulics. I've got a few questions that maybe some of you could shed some light on:

1) It's being shipped and I won't get it until later this week, but I am trying to order a hydraulic toplink for it so I can get it on right away. I got the dimensions from some older posts, but I don't know what style the hydraulic couplers are. Would anyone be able to tell me if they are 'ball type' couplers or 'valve type' couplers? (Photo below) Screen Shot 2020-02-01 at 7.49.06 PM.png

2) Does this mean that any implements with hydraulic attachments will have to also have the correct coupler type (or be replaced)?

3) Lastly, from what I understand, the rear remotes don't have a 'float' function. Is it possible to add a new valve and switch to add this feature? Or any other workarounds?

Thanks for your input.

Part number for the female coupler is 7001918. You might find the size and style on other websites. Bobcat Genuine Parts Catalog – Official Bobcat Company site

Yes they have to be compatible. I have never used the rear remotes so no experience there.

Thanks for your input.

Do you want float for the top link or some other implement?

Awesome, thanks Ruffdog, appreciate the help.

Xfaxman, I would like to be able to float a box blade and a corrugator. Ideally, I'd like to float the entire implement. I thought it may be easier to modify the top link to get a little bit of a float function from them.

I think you know that the three point lift arms float. To get top link float for angle change, some guys use a chain instead of the top link on a brush hog.

I put the box blade on the front if I need float and angle change:

The 5610 does not have position control like many tractors have where you can set a stop and drop the arms to that predetermined height every time. Instead, it has a lever that controls up/down. Like xfax said, the 3pt does float if you lower the arms way down and floats like any other 3pt does.

I was confused and thought the lift arms didn't have a float function . That simplifies this quite a bit. Thanks for clearing that up.

Xfaxman, that is impressive. How does the Toolcat handle that on the 3 pt? Does it even come close to having the same down pressure and 'controlability' as the front? Is it a 7 ft blade?

The one on the front is a 6 ft.

The only down pressure on most 3 point hitches is the weight and angle of the implement, so the answer is no. Most guys add weight to their box blades.

With it on the front you can apply down pressure and with independent suspension still have some front traction.

Here is an 8 ft on the 3 point. The Toolcat handles it just fine:
