Wonder is anyone can give some tips or may have the workshop manual on john deere rock shaft
The rock shaft on my 5725 will not budge. It is in the up position and will push up about an inch free play bit wont go down. I’ve tried pushing it down woth the skid steer. A little back story. Bought the tractor at auction with 2100hrs attempted to drive home and lost all steering. Turns out the pick up screen was plugged solid (thanks to searching the forum fixed) drained the oil which looked very milky and not good to me. Changed pick up screen, filter and fresh JD oil. Steering is now perfect. The draft lower speed control was seized and now turning freely. Set to mid point and still will not lower. Levers for rockshaft and draft control seem quite stiff but they do move. Hve sprayed them with some PB blaster. Im at a loss as to what to do next. Pull out the control levers and see if they are not moving inside the ro k shaft? Remove the rock shaft and see is something is broken inside.
