5740C Initial impression

The 5740 now has 14 hours on the clock, Bush hog with a 7 foot and light loader work, my first impression is very similier to UncleBuck, my fuel usage has been very very good I feel but that is realative the the 4430's and 4440's that we normally use, the 5740 does seem to have more power than the 52pto Hp pulling the cutter at 1,500-1,700 rpm the engine just purred no bogging even in heavy stuff. Also I feel it is very easy to clean the radiator in this model just pop the hood and everything is easy to get to and the front of the radiator is clear which I like for airflow, I had to turn the AC back and on the lowest blower setting or it would get to cool in the cab and it was 91 today, the tractor did not get beyond about 1/4 on the Temp gauage.

Yep, My experience with my 5740c is much like yours.
Mine just turn over the 50 hr mark and I like it more today than when I first got it.
It does everything I need it to do and more.

I just did my 50 hr service. It wasn't too difficult at all.
Now that I have done it once, the next time will be faster and easier.

Glad to hear you really like yours!! I spent all day yesterday in mine, mowing pasture weeds and trying to get it done before the rains came. Didn't get all the pastures mowed of course, but I did get the pastures mowed that I have trouble getting into to mow, if it rains hard, where water collects.
