Greetings.

Question. How to get the stabilizer hose out of the body.

Will a crowfoot work. or crowfoot box wrench?

anyone know where I could find, Case part # D38971 / for 1" hex.
D27216 / 1 1/6" and D28774 / 1 1/4".
I can not remove backhoe until I repair hose. Problem is I cant find anyway to get to the connections.
Question 2, The stabilizer hose is screwed into ? Not sure if its the body or is there a coupling? A 1 1/16" wrench fits there but ???

For any and all Help.
Thank You.
Casemn.

I recently removed exactly those hoses off both sides of the valve body. After trying absolutely everything, I finally found that a short-handled. 30 degree offset "service wrench" was the only thing I could get in there. I had a crows foot which would have worked if not for the diagonal brace. If yours is like mine, it should be a standard JIC coupling onto a JIC male which is screwed into the body of the valve. I cannot remember which sizes fit which, but you have the three sizes you need listed. Next up for me, remove the whole valve body for a rebuild. Oh boy.

:) Thanks cycle-gator. Not much fun working on this. Mine has the stabilizer hose going into valve. No fitting on hose.
I have turned and turned with a vice grip for ??. Im not sure if the fitting it goes into, on the valve body will come out or not. my Question
Did you or r u going to take the backhoe off to get the body out? My book said you have to. I thought about it. looked at it. said I don't think so.
When your over 50 years old you don't like anyone messing with your parts I guess. Every time I do something gets broken.
That's on me not the tractor.

Nice tool to have. I have a set in crows foot pattern, but they will not fit in this situation there is no place narrow enough to slide it down the hose, the swage gets in the way.

Onto the problem at hand. I did see a video once where a guy could not get the hoses off, so he cut the fitting just below the swage and used a socket. He got it off.
In terms of removing the valve body, I have to remove mine in he next month, or so. I do not plan to remove the hoe from the machine. It does make it much simpler in terms of access, also in terms of lifting out the valve (weights close to 100#), but I have read of several people removing the valve with the hoe on the tractor, so that is what I intend to attempt. The valve itself is SAE/ORB fittings, so something should give unless someone decided to force a pipe fitting in there. On these old machines, you might find just about anything.
