Hi group,
I'm looking at an equipment trailer, and could use some help putting a value on it.
Here's the specs- 1992 Cross Country 4HD16, 9700# CGVW, two axle, drum brakes on one axle only. Pintle hitch. Deck is seven foot wide, with a total lenght of eighteen feet. I think they must spec it as a sixteen based on the stored position of the ramps. Although the unit could use a paint job, it's in relatively good physical shape.
What it needs- Full set of lights and a battery kit for the brakes, A minor repair of the tongue jack. Could use a tire replaced due to several sidewall cracks.
Now the odd part- Tires are clearly not original with the size being 7x14.5 LRE (10 ply)
The tires are rated at around 1800 lbs @ 70 PSI max inflation, meaning we've got a 5 ton rig with 3.5 ton tires. Tires should have been 14 ply (LRG max load 3k+)
I've got a Deere 4120 with a 448 hoe, which would pretty much max out the present rubber. I can forget about loading on anything else.
Suggestions?
Thanks,
Jon
