For all the debate about this oil vs that one (and I'm usually in the middle of it), I'm inclined to think the statement above pretty much sums it up!! I'd wager there are tractors running in Mongolia or Botswana that still have the original factory fill in there, from eons ago. Not too many WalMarts or Tractor Supply Co stores around those places... :rolleyes:
I couldn't agree more! There seems to be some frequent posters on here who have more folding money than brains! If "Joe Blow" wanders across this site looking for good, cheap information he is going to be in for a shock. We've got people on here (mostly the Bantam Rooster's, protecting the coop) that insist you've got to spend $200 just to change the fluids on a SCUT that they use to run up and down the driveway getting the mail and paper! Geez! I use my little tractor and can't afford to spend that kind of money every 2-3 months. All of this stuff is rediculous...buy some oil, antifreeze, grease and filters...do the work yourself, you'll learn about your tractor and find most potential problems before they get problematic enough to bite you in the wallet.
