My '12 F-450 pickup usually regens about every 200 miles, give or take 20. I very seldom see the message pop up. The regen cycle is not as obvious on my '12 as it was on my '08 F-450 w/6.4. The cycle is shorter on the '12 6.7 and if you reset your instant mileage you can tell when it's over as your fuel mileage starts back up. My '12 6.7 gets about 5 mpg better mileage over my '08 6.4.
