I'm looking at ordering a Markham tooth bar for the 61" bucket on my JD 305 loader. Standard is six teeth on this size. Is a seventh tooth of any major advantage on this size bucket, and worth the extra bucks?

Six would put them slightly over a foot apart. Even seven teeth on a 61" bucket still puts them a little over 10" on center. Number of teeth can vary based upon primary usage, but I think 9" on center is pretty much the rule of thumb. My loader tractor isn't here right now to confirm. But pretty sure I've got at least seven on its 60" Koyker. And it's a heavy sucker too, shipping weight was somewhere around 130 pounds.
