First off I have express that this build was done with almost all used materials from various places. And alot was rusted etc.One goal was to make for as little money as possible, but also so I could have more 'rollback' on the attachment plate, thus giving me more curl. The offset of this is that You loose the full dump capacity with the bucket fully in the air. But again the main purpose for this bucket will be for moving dirt, etc.It is all based around the QA plate which I purchased here.
Skid Loader Skid Steer Universal Quick Attach Plate | eBay
There was an amazing amount of welding in this bucket. (I was welding in my sleep LOL) I used about 10 lbs of rods,($21.)The QA plates work very well for the money and if you 'add' to them..Only thing I found was that the 'lip' on the top of the plates was a bit narrow for initial hook up, so i weld tabs onto it, They can be seen in the pictures in orange.
Also I used up an old circular saw with cutting wheels. But it had held up great. I then found this tip.
3-1/2 HP 14" Industrial Cut-Off Saw
I use the chop saw as a handheld cutter. Its a bit heavy ad awkward , cut cuts like butter.I simply remove the main head from the pivot base and hold it.
Costs:
QA plate $90.
Paint $8.
Rods $20.
Electricity ??
Chop wheels $4
Total.....$122.
