60\" mmm tilts when lowered

Hey guys, just recently noticed that the deck appears to be cutting at different heights. Started looking around and noticed that the deck tilts to the right when lowered all the way down (at any setting). A quick inspection revealed nothing out of the ordinary. Havent had a chance to pull the deck off yet. Anyone else seen this? Only 23 hours on the tractor.

Have you pulled out your manual for the mower deck and gone through the adjustment procedure starting from square 1? I found that my deck was not adjusted at all from the dealer (my only gripe with them) and required tweaking every setting to get it level fore/aft and side to side. And you do have to start with correct tire pressures before you adjust. Try that and see what happends.

Mine tilts when lowered as well, but cuts evenly. I think it's actually tilting when raised, maybe the leveling bar has to bottom out before it will lift.

my dealer told me after lowereing, its only supposed to tilt slightly towards the front of the tractor, that way your not losing power by goint thru the gras with the whole blade, instead just the front half of each blade as it spins.

Sounds like a typical dealer answer to me. However, my Simplicity does that also. But with it, it hangs from the front of the tractor and tilts so the back of it rides on rollers thus the rear is always the part doing the major cutting.

I wish the Bota's would drag the mower around like the Simplicity..... Can't beat that cut...... Tom

I am sure you have checked this, but it took me a few times to figure out that the mowing deck can be affected by the adjustable linkage in the rear. If you haven't checked this yet, check it. I had used my 3PH for some driveway work and I left the link adjusted all the way up. It affected the height of the mowing deck even when the deck was lowered all the way. Who'da thunk it :)
