60" rotary mower

I am buying a new tractor and am new to rotary cutters. My dealer has three options available.

New Titan 1200 $1100
New Tailor-way series 233 $1400
Used land pride rcr18 $1000 looks in good shape but don't know

How do I choose? the land pride looks like a heavier unit and can cut thicker material. Tailorway has left and right tilt but smaller gearbox rating

Is the 5 year warrantee on the new ones something I should have?

will be initially cutting 4' marsh grass (more like straw) initially then pasture maintenance after that

The Taylor-way's flex hitch looks like it'd be of some use on uneven ground. But with just a single tail wheel you'd still scalp the ground when there's a lump or rise on one side.
All those are light duty cutters which is probably fine for your use. I'd get the used Land Pride. There's not much on a rotary cutter that can go wrong.

If you're considering a used unit anyway, I'd look at some other brands. Landpride is decent gear, but not great. Just on Craigslist in my area, there are a BUNCH of Bush Hog brand, Rhino, and some of the Italian brands for the same or less money. Also, check on availability of parts. You'd be amazed how many relatively new pieces of gear don't have key parts available.

The landpride is fine but I would say that is just an average price unless it is like new. I would go titan second and then Taylor-Way third. All are good choices. My main concern would be the strength an complexity of the flex-hitch. I had a King Kutter witch is a cousin of the Taylor way and I had to do several repairs to the a-frame.
