I can get a good deal on 60" rototiller from TSC . The price would be $1399 which is $300 off retail. Wondering if the tiller would be too large?

My dealer said 48" max on a 2300 series, with 42" being better for working hard ground.

I can't see how that equates to you being effective using a 60" on a 2600 series.

It's also probably not made for a sub compact like XB implements are for example, so you may have a limit on how high you can lift it. Which can sometimes be an issue. Like when your loading it on a trailer.

What about a Bush Hog rtc48? My dealer has a used one for $1K. I assume that would be more suitable.

have you checked the P.T.O. h.p for the tiller ? I do think the 60" is way too big for your tractor.
I have a KK tiller that requires 25 h.p. to the p.t.o. , I may be wrong here but I don't think you have near enough, for that tiller.

unless you only have sand, I think 60" is little big for that little GC. I'd say 48-50 is max.

I think you guys are right. I will look into the used 48" Bush Hog. Thanks

I have a GC2400, and I use a Yanmar RSC1600 tiller, ~66". It is missing ~1/5th of its tines, and my garden is sandy. Ray66 is correct about lifting height for trailer loading, but if yours is like mine, the tines just roll when they touch a high spot/lip of the trailer. You will need a front weight to counterbalance a tiller of that size.

So, not knowing your own circumstances, the tiller is of possible use. I would not use it to break new clay/stony ground.

My dealer has a used Bush Hog RTC48 for $1k. I probably could get it for $800 .I can get the KK XB 48" tiller for $1560 from Everything attachments. This includes free shipping. Which one is the way to go? Thanks

Just got back from looking at the Bush Hog. The tines were completely worn out. They were so worn they had a point like a knife. I think I am going to save my money and buy a KK XB in the spring.

I have the Bush Hog RTC 48. I like mine, it works great.

800 to 1k with worn out tines is a little high though.
