He managed to buy three, two story houses for a total of six apartments(one that they lived in), a trailer in Sarasota, FL for the winters and a cottage on an island in a lake in MI to retire in. He lived to a ripe old age of 91 and my grandma enjoyed the fruits of their labor for 15 more years, passing on at 98. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
My dad, on the other hand, had a daily commute of 20 miles in each direction when there just weren't any highways between here and there at that time. Wasted an hour each day of his life driving, as he use to say.
