6000 PTO lever

Do you get to the PTO lever connection from the front end of the Mahindra 6000 series tractor or from the rear end? My nephew needs to replace the lever.
Also, is there a repair manual on-line? The dealer said "Just get on line" but they forgot to ask "where"!?!

Why do you need to replace the PTO lever? It just sounds like an illogical part to need to replace, and I would hate to see you splitting the tractor if it isn't needed.

Mr. LaWall,
The ringmaster just told me the following...A.J., wife of TJ, was using the tractor to run the bush hog. When she brought it back, the lever to the PTO was and is loose, with no reaction to moving the lever. The lever wriggles around and apparently is not connected to the PTO. Possibly a cotter pin or similar connection has broken or something has slipped off. Anyway, the PTO does not engage and the lever is much too sloppy and loose. This leads the tractor owner to think that they need to get to the place where the PTO hooks to the PTO lever and hook it up once more.
Does that make sense?
Actually, what is needed is to re-connect the lever to the PTO.
They are used to working on John Deeres, Olivers and Massey-Fergusons. This is the first time the Mahindra has done something like this.

Sounds like the roll pin may have sheared. I have not had to replace one on the 00 series before but I do know the others (25 series) we've worked on in the past have been a pain to get to. I'll ask our mechanic when he gets back in from lunch.

edit: Mechanic says you'll have to get the other half of the piece the lever connects to out through the triangle hole where the lever mounts up to and either put a new roll pin in or weld it then reinsert it back in. Most of the time you have to remove the floorboard and possibly even the fender to get it back in due to the length of the PTO lever itself and the angle you have to put it in.

RedRiver Sir! You have just made a couple of old tractor jockeys very happy!
They both left with a grin on their faces, even if my printer decided against
working again! Thank You so much. We do so appreciate the help! I'll let you know how it works. The diagrams came through fine and they both knew what was being shown!
