610 Long with Loader Reviews?

Here's the guys ad on craigslist.
Great work horse, runs great, 65 hp diesel, cash Or will trade for smaller tractor with loader and cash.

Any of you have any experience/knowledge of this type of tractor. I'm looking to purchase a good used tractor for my ranch, mainly for feeding round bales to cattle, shredding, pulling a disc. I've never owned or operated a Ford tractor so would like to get your thoughts. I'm also open to other brands.

Back in 1983 we bought a new Universal 640 DTC, which is basically the same tractor as the Long 610. By far the worst thing we ever owned - I could write pages on what went wrong with it. It left in 1985, replaced by a Ford. I'd stay away unless it was dirt cheap and you don't need to depend on it.

Long is a Romanian built machine, not a Ford.

I would stay away from it. Parts are going to be a problem down the road.
