Have tested sensor, all OK and operating sensor manually off the tractor does not put the light out - so it NOT a low pressure issue, it is an electrical fault.

Cannot find a wiring diagram, on-line or anywhere. Have tested all relays to the right of seat and relays and alll fuses there are good. Need advice re. What colour wire is involved (for tracing- no clue from the bulb as it is in the sealed binnacle) or if there are more relays involved. Or indeed a likely culprit?

Just curious, How are you testing the sensor? How are you operating it manually, off of the tractor? Are you sure it is hydraulic pressure? Or could it be transmission pressure? Hydraulic filter restriction sensor? I have seen quite a few of the transmission pressure sensors fail. It is on the front of the transmission above the filter. If you could post a picture of the light and the sensor you are testing, it might help verify what we are dealing with. Welcome to the forum and Good Luck!

Have you unplugged the sensor and jumpered the plug (two wires to sensor) to see if the light goes out?
Wire colors are Black which is a ground wire, so you should be able to check if it is getting a good ground thru this wire.
The other wire is Dark Green. It goes to terminal D8 of the connector from the transmission harness to the cab harness.
No relays are used for this pressure switch.

many thanks for the responses. i tested the sensor using a multimeter and it was good; connected it up to the plug off the machine and used a pin to replicate pressure closing the switch, light stayed on. In a normal situation, the light does not come on when ignition is switched on, only when cranking to start engine - this is normal. In a car I am used to all lights showing and going out when engine starts. I plugged the fitting on the tractor to start the tractor (with a new sensor, made no diffence to the light). All services work fine, so after sensor change I thought I'd test the electrics before looking at hydraulics and here I am.

now I know no relay involved elsewhere I can hunt the wiring to find the bad connection.

From what you done so far it sounds like a bad connection, or broken wire.
I would start with the black wire since it's the ground and easy to check, just use a test light from the battery Positive and it should light if the black wire is OK.
Then start tracing/checking the dark green wire.

Were you able to resolve this?

I have a similar issue with my 6210. Last fall I got somehow got water in my hydraulic/ transmission fluid. I lost power to my FEL and steering, but the tractor would still go forward and reverse. I changed the filter and was gonna change the fluid, but... It has been sitting up for most of the winter. Yesterday I cranked the tractor and the low hydraulic pressure light came on. My FEL and the 3 point hitch would operate but the tractor would not move in forward or reverse.

Any info or advice would be appreciated.
