Hi all,
While you all are getting ready for winter, here in CT we're still dealing with leaves. As well as gator blades mulch leaves, I've found the airflow of the 62C lets some leaves through without chomping them into pieces and have wondered how well a blowout plug works. So, I decided to fab one using some cheap aluminum flashing I had laying around. Here are some pics:

Pics are reversed, but after going over about an acre, the plug ripped out at the screw holes (the aluminum was really thin) and you can see a whole bunch of BB-sized dimples from the branches etc that the 62C ground up. However, it did work pretty well up until it ripped out, so I think I'll straighten out the aluminum and use it for a template to fab one out of thicker steel.
BTW, you can just see the bottom of my cab in the second pic, so I guess I'm getting ready for that 4th season too.
