Has anyone had their 62D MMM deck crack? Mine, which up until two weeks ago has been used very little since it was not installed properly at the dealer, has a stress crack near the bottom lip a couple inches behind the left front caster. What can I expect JD to do about it?

I have not heard of a failure like that...I am sure JD will make it right.

They may say a foreign object struck it at high speed and made a small fracture in the case which is hardened to withstand years of service. this will not effect the use or ability to perform well. I would let the dealer know about it and if it became a serious problem he could weld and paint it over a period where you didn't have a need for it. Its only metal and it can be repaired. JDs not going to give you a 2k deck over this miner flaw. Keep in mind... it cuts grass, not a show piece.
