Mowing 62D mower max height on a 2520?

Anyone know off hand what the max height would be? I don't have my books right now, but my first use of the mower I had to use it all the way up with the3pt controls.

I haven't had mine on in awhile, but I think the max. height was about 4.5 inches.

With the independent lift kit, I've been cutting prairie grass at 5.5 inches.

Mechanical lift, I just measured 6" of blade height. FWIW, when I received it from the dealer it was nearly an inch from the up stop, so I shortened the threaded rods to the back a few turns and now it just about touches it when all the way up. Gave me that extra clearance I need in a few tough spots...

I **** near have to cut my grass with it all the way up. I think I have it stopping on #8, too me that is ridiculous. I expected some adjustability and a little bit of clearance when it is all the way up.

I have the exact same problem. Cutting on number 8, anything less i'm scalping the grass.
Tried to chase down the problem last year and couldn't figure it out. Took time installing the deck this year, checked the stopper...everything is doing what it should be. Adjusted the rods..

Its a very maddening problem.

If anybody has an answer..I'd like to hear it!:laughing:

I'm going to have to check mine later today.
Something doesn't seem right with some of these decks. I have mine set just about between 6 and 7 and I get a "lawn mower" cut,and I know I have at least 6 inches of height.
Is the deck adjusted properly,left,right,front,back? Wheels set at proper height. Sounds corny,but check your tire air pressure.That makes a huge difference too.

The deck is level all the way around and the tires are good (except the dealer forgot to fill the rear tires!).

It looks like I might be able to get some adjustment by tighting everything up, but in the end I don't think I will gain much.
