Tractor
John Deere 630
I finally did take the plunge on a JD. Got the 6330 cab tractor, instead of the 6115. Loaded up fairly decent, 16 speed powershift, radials, 673 loader and grapple, air seat, corner exhaust, several other things. I'm 66, this is the last hurrah probably, but it's a cash deal and I wanted one before the chips get turned in, to make some things happen on my place that can't without a machine like this. Havn't lost one minutes sleep since last Wed, 7 days ago, no remorse yet!! I'll try to post some pics before any dust lands on it. I might have to get some wax now, keep her shined up!!

Good choice of loaders, you will love the grapple!
And the cab, I don't use my tractor this time of year, but if it had a cab I might.

Congrats! Waiting on pics.....

I don't want to come off as morbid or insincere but, around here, a John Deere brings out folks to an estate sale like crazy hoping to get a good deal.

Since I ordered this tractor several weeks ago, the world continues falling apart seemingly. Fuel has gone way up, the dollar is worse, and the future is gloomier seeming. But I refuse to back down, have regrets, or be less enthused. I'm not going to plow 12 hours a day with this thing, it's a beautiful toy and man thing for my light duty use here and there on my place, so fuel won't be a killer anyhow. A new Cadillac Escalade would not be near as exciting as this deal is for a JD. But I sure am looking forward to trimming a mile of Hedge Trees where they hang way out, grabbing all that firewood and hauling it up to the house in the bucket, and grappling the brush for the ease of dumping it in the burn pile. Should get it by March 15.

Bruce,
I don't think it will cost that much to run considering how much work it can do in an hour. As long as the implements are a good match for the tractor it should be mroe efficient than using smaller ones like I have.

X2 here, too!! I can relate to what you're going through as well.... I signed the papers for a new cab, JD5075M a couple of weeks ago.

Since then - it's been turnin' kinda dark on the horizon!

But, no regrets here, either. Don't want no Escalade and I'm really lookin' forward to hookin' my disc mower and baler up this summer... and that fine smell of new hay! :D
