While growing up on the farm, my father had 2 MF31 Industrial 65 HP tractors. We did everything with those tractors from pulling a 3 bottom plow, 8' and 10' discs, New Holland 278 square baler with a 8' by 16' wagon behind it. When the hay was done and the wagons were full, we'd hook 2 together and pull them many miles home. We put 4' sides on those same wagons and pick corn in the fall and never had any trouble.
My memories of those tractors and their reliability and toughness prompted me to purchase a MF 4225 a little over a year and 3 months ago. The tractor is 65 engine HP and 55 pto HP. It is a cab tractor with a gear transmission and to date, it has been a great tractor.
I personally believe you can't go wrong if you buy a Massey Ferguson tractor /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif.
