$650 for K.K. used finish mower??

all right got 20 acres half of that i use two smaller Jd mowers on along with a trail behind finish mower on a four wheeler. decided to use the trail behind on one of the mowers to double the amount of work being done.

i just spotted a used king kutter 4 foot finish mower. thought it would work great with my ym2000 yanmar. is 650 a good price? worth buying it or just stick with the smaller gas mowers?

i also have a brush hog bush mower for the other acres that arent in grass.

Sounds high to me for a 4' KK... not exactly top of the line equipment.

Prices seem to vary all over the country, so maybe things just cost more there.

Last year I paid $600 for a used 7ft Landride finish mower. The gearbox, metal and belt is in perfect condition. It had two flat tires and all four are near the end of their usefulness. I replaced the three blades for around $50 each.

I also have a 6ft landpride medium duty rotary cutter. Now that I have the finish mower, I only use the rotary cutter once or twice a year. I love the finish mower and can mow all day with it.

$650 is a rip-off. Tractor supply sells NEW KK four footers for $697.

Didn't realize KK even made a 4' finish mower. Jeez, what a waste of steel !

In that case, he should STILL pass it up. A YM2000 has 20 PTO horsepower. That's enough to run a 5 foot finish mower.

I AGREE, seems a bit high for 4ft used KK. i had a 5' KK but when i got the kubota i went to a Befco FM . and also you should be able to handle a 5' mower.

thanks for the advice guys.. its from a small family owned business sell used cars and farm equipement, was thinking of supporting the smaller guy but since it is overpriced guess i'll pass. thanks again
