Have a 6500, I used it last week worked great. Shut it off, put fuel in it and went to start it a few days later and it cranks strong but won't fire. I thought maybe it was bad fuel I put in since that's the only thing that changed so I drained it and changed the filters and bled everything and still won't fire off. It will start on ether but won't run. It's got fuel at the injectors, a fair stream but I don't have a gauge to check pressure. My only thought is something in injector pump like a kill switch stuck closed or partially closed. Just odd that it ran great and now nothing. Seems electrical maybe but I don't know were to look. The only wires on the pump are grounds and both seem ok. All the fuses are good. The electrical schematic in the manual shows a fuel sender - is that anything or just for the fuel gauge? Any other ideas?

The wires on the injection pump aren't grounds. Check them again. Not the one on the big cylinder on the side, but the one closer to the top that's hardest to reach. That will be the shut off solenoid. No power there and it won't run.

Well that's good to know! But more of a mystery - both wires are showing as grounds w/ a test light, key off, on, and cranking. Think I found they problem though, now how to solve it? Could the whole thing be shorted somehow?

Something's grounded that shouldn't be, yes. Both the solenoid and the wax motor should have power with the key on. There is probably a fuse somewhere between the key switch and the pump. Have they been there yet?

I checked the fuses, they're all good. But it is electrical - I jumpered the from power to the injector solenoid and it fired right up. Could it be the key switch? I rigged up a temporary power wire for now so I could get bales out of the field, just have to unplug it to kill it.
