That is correct, but then along came the 670 as well as the rest of the X70 series. At that time there were 2 distinct lines of tractors, the X50 and then X70 series which were gear tractors. They ranged from the 650 to 1050/670 to 1070. Then there was the 55 series hydrostatic tractors. They were the 655 to 955. The 55's were built much differently than todays HST tractors. The engines sat on rubber motor mounts attached to the tractor's frame, unlike the 50s, 70s, and most current tractors who's engines are part of the frame.
