Hi All,

I have my Ford 6610 torn apart doing some maintenance and upgrades and I have a few things frustrating me. I hoped somebody here might have some advice to help me out.

I have the dual deluxe remotes and both flow control knobs are frozen - one in high, the other in low. I've owned the tractor for a year and they haven't moved since day one. I don't want to get rough with them because both remotes work and don't leak excessively but the one in low is almost unusable. Any ideas? I have lightly tapped on them with a hammer, pushed, pried, wrenched. All no good.

Somewhat related to the first problem, my FEL's loader valve is plugged into one remote leaving me crappy options if I need to hook up an implement. I would like to setup the 6610 with a proper PBY and get the loader valve off the remotes but.... Although tractordata.com says this thing is OC hydraulics, I see conflicting information in forums saying it could be OC or CC. To make matters worse, there are no identification tags in any of the usual places. I know it's a 6610 non 'S' by matching parts diagrams online. It's probably a 'II' because there are illegible remnants of a decal in the proper place on the nose by the grille. Any hints on how to tell whether its OC or CC? I'll post pictures if that helps. Google found a reference to PN:HP567610 as a possible PBY plate on forums.yesterdaystractors.com but nobody seems to sell that anymore. Does anyone know if a PBY plate is even an option on a 6610 anymore?

One of my upgrades include 3rd function on the loader. The way I understand it, my Brand LV22RFSTKAB OC loader valve (now w/new PBY) would have to be replaced to be compatible with CC hydraulics if I added PBY to the tractor. So that may be off the table altogether.

I'd be happy if I just got the one remote turned up so I don't have to swap remotes with the loader when I hook up an implement. All of the above would be nice.

Thanks in advance
John
