Tractor
Kubota Tractor Loader L3560 HST+ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 3,700 pounds bare tractor, 5,400 pounds operating weight, 37 horsepower
Tractor Supply has ZERO 7/8" diameter, clevis style, Category 1, cap head, unthreaded, Lower Link draw pins in stock.

TSC has a few draw pins with a bale handle and hairpin clip. I want the traditional style, without a bale handle and using a lynch pin.

Practically none on eBay. Practically none on Amazon.

Specifically I need Lower Link pins with 4-1/4" working length.

What has changed?

Order online for instore delivery?

I need Lower Link draw pins, which are 7/8" diameter in Category 1.

Your reference is for Top Link pins, which are 3/4" diameter in Category 1.

Thanks for your research effort on my behalf but no banana.

Yes, the same as the photo in Post #1.

The question is: Why have Category 1, Lower Link pins disappeared, all of a sudden?

I can understand my local TSC being out of a size or two, temporarily, but they are out of all sizes and the tags have been removed from the shelf.

Amazon and eBay have only remnants of what use to be prolific supplies from multiple venders.

I think because they have such small heads they are not really ergonomic for use outside of the TRACTOR end of the top link. Of course they could be used for the clevis hitch. But it's not like 7/8 pins in many other styles are difficult to find. They are probably simply making room for other inventory due to low sales of those.

I've found that the pins with a handle loop work a lot better for clevis hitches as there is something to hold on to for removal. The ones with almost no head can be a pain. My cat1 box blade is easy, but my 1300lb cat2 rear blade is a PITA to get those out of by hand. Our local farm stores have numerous options for pins in 7/8 size, among many others.

You'll see Speeco lists that pin style as a top link pin. The clevis head pin does not have the "bump" on the head, and the clevis draw pin uses a roll pin on one side.

If you have a huge problem with the handle, get this style:

CountyLine Swivel Handle Hitch Pin, 4-1/4 in. Usable Pin Length, S071041CTS - For Life Out Here

And simply remove the handle. It's just a piece of wire pressed into each side. Then it's almost exactly what you want.

No, it is not what I want. I am going through Newberry, Florida, today where at larger TSC is located. I will see if they have the Lower Link pin style I want.

I have a Land Pride Rotary Cutter which I pull through really thick jungle periodically. Lower Link pins get pulled out regularly. Only the smooth, cap-head style pictured in Post #1 seems to stay in. I had one LLP with a bale handle pull out on Saturday. It is not in me to pay $6.49 for something, then to remove $3.49 of the something to adapt it. And, even less the bale, it will be more snag-prone than the smooth cap-head. style.

I stopped by my Kubota dealer today. The Kubota dealer was out of Category 1 cap-head LLPs. He had one Category 0 LLP.

I would like to see a reply from MESSICK'S KUBOTA, which may have insight.

It isn't the style of head that is causing the loss, it's the style of retainer you use. Skip the cheap lynch pins and use a 7/16' bolt with a lock nut (yes, you will have to use WRENCHES:duh:). The previous pin you lost will be the last one. You can always get the pin from Landpride by their part #, but that will make that $6.49 drawpin look cheap.
